This week is filled with excitement and anticipation. All MVPs will find out if they are renewed for another year. It's my first renewal! Additionally, this week is also the Power Women in Tech Award! ❤️ There's definitely a hint of nervousness in the air. 😬These recognitions are wonderful acknowledgments, but the true essence lies in staying authentic and enjoying the journey.🙂Here are 8 tips that Maarten Goet and I shared last year about How (not) to become an MVP😉:💡 Don’t fixate on the MVP title; focus on your passion. It’s the love for what you do that counts, not the accolades.💡 Share freely. Share your insights, solutions, and learnings with the community.💡 Remember, all the content you share is valuable! Whether it’s a complex solution or a simple tip, your contributions make a difference.💡 Seek out peers with similar interests. Collaboration amplifies impact. Find your tribe and grow together.💡 Ask for help. No one’s journey is solo. Asking for help is a strength, not a weakness.💡 Be visible. Let your work shine. Engage in forums, write blogs, speak at events – be seen.💡 Community equals collaboration. Helping each other is the cornerstone of growth. Community Sunday Spotlight: 💡Ilse Parra 💫A star in our community: Ilse Parra. She embodies resilience, determination and an unwavering commitment to diversity and inclusion in our community 🫶✨.Ilse, originally from Mexico and now living in the Netherlands, has been a source of constant inspiration for me since I met her 1.5 years ago at Microsoft Netherlands. Our conversation about diversity within Microsoft and its partners was a pivotal moment. Despite the strides made within Microsoft, the disparity at partner organizations was evident. When I shared my thoughts, Ilse immediately took action, drafting an email to various partners within minutes😊. Her proactive approach and relentless drive are truly commendable.😎Through Ilse, I've been motivated to learn Spanish for the past few weeks 🇪🇸, further broadening my horizons😂. She's also made me more conscious of being inclusive, ensuring that even those who speak English in the Netherlands feel welcomed in our communities.Ilse and I often talk about our futures, sharing our dreams and aspirations🙏. We can be reflective, listening to power women anthems💃, but above all, we dream about what's next and enjoying where we are now.Together, we started the Women in Cyber program and quickly gathered people around us. I'm incredibly proud of what we've achieved.Ilse's story of joining Microsoft is inspiring, making her one of the most powerful and admirable individuals I've ever met.
